Long Haul Class 1A Saskatoon or Regina

Are you looking for consistent long-haul routes and consistent days away from home? National Cartage/MattJenn is a Saskatchewan based organization that began in 1939 and has grown to a highly successful international company. From local deliveries within the cities of Regina and Saskatoon to longer hauls in Western Canada and Midwestern US, we can provide almost any shipping and transportation requirement. The Long-Haul Driver position requires a driver to be away from home and on the road for 5 to 6 days at a time. Mountain driving experience is essential for this position.


Experience dealing with Canadian and United States Customers is also a requirement.

 

Drivers Abstract must accompany your application.


Required Skills and Abilities.
-Valid Class 1A Drivers license
-Clean Drivers Abstract
-US and Canadian customs experience
-Mountain Driving experience
-1 to 2 years long haul driving experience
-Valid Canadian Passport

REGINA/SASKATOON

City Tractor Driver/Short Haul Driver

We are currently looking for a 1A tractor driver for deliveries within the City of Regina and the City of Saskatoon as well as short-haul work within the province. Drivers must have at least one-year highway driving experience. Daily hours will vary, but the driver should be in Regina every night.


Responsibilities:
-Pick up and delivery of various goods within the city and surrounding areas in a timely and professional manner
-Assist with loading and unloading
-Fill out necessary documents

-Perform pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment including oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform brake adjustments
-Fill out necessary documents
-Assist with loading and unloading
-Pick up and delivery of various goods within the city and surrounding areas in a timely and professional manner

-Plan travel schedules and routes
-Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
-Transport hazardous products and/or dangerous goods
-Adhere to company safety policies


Qualifications:
-Saskatchewan Class 1A license and clean drivers abstract (We are not LIMA certified)
-Customer service skills
-Good work attitude and willingness to learn
-Team player
-Strong command of the English language
-Ability to lift up to 23kg (50 lbs.)
-Understanding of the following:
-Driver logbooks/bills of lading
-Dangerous goods occurrence reports
-Inspection reports

-Maintenance and repair reports
-Trip reports/accident reports
